About the ORHA
About the Oregon Reining Horse Association?
The Oregon Reining Horse Association was established in 1994 as an organization dedicated to promoting the sport of reining in Oregon by, and for, people who enjoy reining horses. The ORHA’s board of directors consists of horsemen and women that work hard and are passionate about growing reining in Oregon by organizing shows and educational forums that anyone interested in reining can attend and enjoy. The ORHA is the original Oregon affiliate of the National Reining Horse Association.
The ORHA takes pride in putting on enjoyable shows throughout the state of Oregon where horse enthusiasts can gather to compete in the sport of reining. We encourage healthy competition in a supportive and friendly atmosphere at venues in which any level of reining exhibitor can compete and have fun. From beginner to seasoned riders, our family-oriented shows offer a variety of classes that provide each level of rider the opportunity to experience the challenge and thrill of reining.
Our shows typically have both ORHA club classes that offer individual awards as well as year end awards and NRHA approved affiliate classes with added money and beautiful NRHA awards. We do also have AQHA approved classes at our two larger shows. For a list and descriptions of our ORHA classes as well as the ORHA year end award rules please see the documents menu. Our larger shows also have Derbies, Futurities, and Maturities with added money, buckles and great awards to fifth place. Please see the show premiums for more information.
Come and join us at one of our shows, we look forward to welcoming you!
